Microarray course general info:

For the Calogero's course, students should be organized in groups of three persons.
The course will be mainly practical.
Question about the course should be posted on the Ph.D forum
 

Each group should have a laptop computer with R and Bioconductor 1.5 installed under linux/windows
Calogero's group could provide up to three laptops for the exercises.
To use the Bioconductor Install Script:
Simply type (in R):
source("http://www.bioconductor.org/getBioC.R")
Then
getBioC()
Under window you should extend the virtual RAM for R changing the property destination:
from:
..\R\rw2000pat\bin\Rgui.exe
to:
..\R\rw2000pat\bin\Rgui.exe --max-mem-size=2048M

The following metadata libraries have to be installed in bioconductor:
